Tourist Development Tax
As a reminder, we upgraded last year to a new online tax system, GovOS, effective 11/27/24. The tax portal website is linked for your convenience below. This is where you file online returns, make tax payments, add properties, request deletions, request filing/account changes, etc.
- If you are new to TDT, the steps for registering in the tax portal can be found here: How to Register.
- If you were previously registered in our prior tax system, GovOS prepared a Tax Remittance User Guide to assist in the activation process for your new user & account and to help you get acquainted with navigating the new Business Center dashboard.

- NORTH WALTON TDT: If your rental property is located NORTH of the Choctawhatchee Bay, then the TDT rate that should be charged to short-term renters is currently 3% of the rent charged for that stay plus any required, non-refundable fees (cleaning fees, pet fees, resort fees, etc.) This is the North Walton TDT rate for the following zip codes: 32462, 32439, 32578, 32435, 32455, 32433, 32539, 32464, & 32567.
